The Salvation Army was founded in London, England, in 1865 by William Booth. It is now an international organization with divisions in 100 countries throughout the world. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and meet human needs in His name without discrimination.


Services Rendered

1. Conduct worship services, Bible studies, etc.;

2. Bedside visitation of patients;

3. Distribution of War Cry and other publications;

4. Performance of any personal services or acts of kindness which may be permissible for those confined in the institutions or hospitals;

5. Observance of special days, such as Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, etc., by providing musical entertainment, games and special treats; (Only under unusual and extenuating circumstances may Salvation Army gifts be left for later distribution)
