The Salvation Army was founded in London, England, in 1865 by William Booth. It is now an international organization with divisions in 100 countries throughout the world. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and meet human needs in His name without discrimination.


Each year community volunteers give hundreds of hours of service to their communities and schools to help The Salvation Army Service Unit provide programs and service. Service Unit volunteers area always needed in each community to ensure the provision of needed services. Volunteers are needed for the following programs:
